Barbera, Bonarda, Freisa, Dolcetto- Kermit Lynch was on his way to Alba when the stopped for lunch. Served a pitcher of Arneis, that pleasantly surprised him he got the address of the producer. When he visited, he tasted several cuvées of Monferrato Rosso. It has quickly become a staff favorite at the shoppe in Berkley, not only for its smooth earthiness and genuine regional typicity, but also for its versatility in pairing with a wide variety of dishes.  Selected and Blended by Kermit Lynch they clearly have high hopes for this everyday cuvée, because it has the finesse of a much grander D.O.C. Kermit says that it reminds him of the Piedmontese wines of old.  

Fermented and aged in stainless steel rather than oak, it has a stony minerality and pure, pretty red fruits that would complement the array of flavors at the holiday table . There's a density and uniqueness to the wine which has great depth as well.
